Our family loves to play outside! Parks, playgrounds, pools, sandboxes, and garden hoses are quickly becoming our favorite fun activities. Of course, since we live in Houston, we get the sunny heat for more than half the year...and we love it! I snapped this picture the other day of the kids playing in the backyard. I won't be surprised if Harry does the monkey bars before anyone else! We spend at least an hour outside every day, and the sun is usually up well before 7:00 am!

We have a pool so we love to swim swim swim. I got fried today, even with sunscreen and shade. Fun times!
You might add that according to the 2012 EWG guide, Beyond Coastal scores a "low hazard" for toxicity! Which is saying a lot, because I've never seen a suncreen score better than "moderate hazard".
Nutty Mom, Isn't summer great?!! The EWG score is a great point...I think it's a low hazard because its ingredients are natural, safe, and effective! I'm really happy with all their products!!

Our favorite summer activity is going to the lake. swimming, hiking, boating...pretty much anything at the lake. So sunscreen is a MUST!

Our favorite thing to do in the summer is exploring the great outdoors. Sometimes that means a bug hunt or a nature walk. Other times it's just playing in the sand box!
We enjoy walking through the park in the middle of our small town or through the graveyard that's directly across from our driveway - we hope that this keeps them unafraid of the graveyard/spookiness that all the kids tell them of. Walk through in the light and not make a big deal about it - so far so good. We pretty much do everything together in the summer.
